Above the headlight is the usual retro style speedometer with LCD screen. It displays all the information about the ride. It contains information such as fuel level, trip meter, odometer, and hours. Owners of these vehicles can ask for a second circular display.
The Royal Enfield will get a tripper navigation system on the display. It gives information for every turn. Hunter 350 riding impression
The Hunter 350 is powered by the same engine as the Meteor and Classic 350. But the engine’s ignition and fuel mapping has been tweaked to give the riding experience a new twist.
As far as the Hunter 350 goes, the engine power is good and as expected. Especially this engine performs well between 60-100 kmph. Driving it in Bangkok at 80kmph in 5th gear was a pleasant experience. The sound from this engine is different from the sound of a regular Royal Enfield bike.
The handling of this Hunter 350 bike was different from the usual Royal Enfield. A regular Royal Enfield doesn’t have the sporty feel. But this Hunter 350 offered a sporty experience. The bike’s sharp string geometry, small wheels, and low wheelbase provide an enjoyable ride.
The footrest of this bike is higher than the Meteor. It comes with a lightweight chassis, new alloy wheels, and some parts in plastic. Handling of the bike is excellent.
As far as the front suspension is concerned, it is excellent. Also good at hard braking. Rear 6 stage preloaded adjustable shocks are excellent. Couldn’t test how it performs on major multi-lane roads. Roads in Thailand were excellent. This bike is great for arms and back while riding.
Braking is also an upgrade from other Royal Enfield bikes. At first it was a bit unsophisticated. It is not up to the brake performance of other sporty 300 cc bikes. But you will get used to it. The combination of front and rear brakes provides excellent performance.
The new Hunter 350 bikes are equipped with Amphill Grip tires. We tested this bike at Impact Speedway in Bangkok. This gives the bike a solid and responsive performance while accelerating and cornering. But if you lean too much, the rear tire gets a little slippery. But this is nothing to complain about. These tires are best for off-road use. It is not often used in draws.
